The Universidad Loyola is hosting the II International Congress on Ethics and Cosmopolitan Justice in the Iberian School of Peace and Ibero-American Scholasticism: Contributions of Jesuit thought and tradition.

The event will take place the 20th and 21st of June 2024, at the Dos Hermanas Campus.

The following thematic lines are suggested for discussion: 

  1. Historical outlines of intercultural dialogues: communication, critique of injustices, cultural and religious translations in the first modernity.
    2. Cosmopolitan justice and reconstruction of a Law for Humanity: Iberian School of Peace, Ibero-American Tradition of human rights and contemporary challenges.
    3. Are we facing a “post-metaphysical” era? Readings on the possible contribution of Christian and Jesuit thought to philosophy and ethics today.
    4. Dialogues with the thought of Suarez from the moral treatises.
    5. Dialogues between contemporary authors and Jesuit thinkers.

Receipt of abstracts: March 31st, 2024

Acceptance of abstracts: April 15, 2024

Receipt of full papers for review and publication: July 15, 2024
