The 28th IAJBS World Assembly was held at Universidad Loyola in Seville from July 9 to 13 under the theme: Educating for a Global Citizenship.

More than a hundred deans, rectors and professionals from jesuit business schools around the world attended the conference in which they were able to focus on the needs, challenges and objectives of Jesuit business schools, as well as their identity and its relationship with the mission of the company.

Through a series of presentations, panel discussions, and spaces for debate and networking, they sought to respond to one of the greatest challenges facing Jesuit business schools: How can they better prepare their students to lead in creating a more sustainable, inclusive, fair and reconciled world?

Fr. Joseph Christie, SJ, in the opening ceremony, invited the attendees to “integrate the Universal Apostolic Preferences into our institutions, to make the formation we offer in the field of business relevant in the changing context in which we live.”

The conference ended with the awarding of the Tom Bausch Best Paper Award and the presentation of next year’s Assembly, which will be held at the Australian Catholic University from July 14-17, 2024.
