Following the University Chancellor’s Office’s recommendations, the Swedish Government has decided to grant the Newman Institute degree rights for a master program in theology.
In its explanatory memorandum, the Swedish authority emphasizes that the Newman Institute “has become a well-established provider of basic theological education over the past ten years”.
The new master’s degree provides an opportunity for in-depth study in one of the Newman Institute’s focus areas, systematic theology. The first admission to the two-year program will be from the autumn semester of 2021 and then continue with new students’ entry every two years.
