The notion of a creation of the world by an almighty God is indeed at the heart of Christian revelation, as the first verse of the Creed reminds us: “I believe in God, the almighty Father, creator of heaven and of heaven. Earth. This assertion must however be taken again radically to redefine the relationship between God, man and nature, by clearly distinguishing itself from modern anthropocentrism. Instead of encouraging escape, as it has been accused, or yielding like others to catastrophism, Christianity must maintain a hope, that another world is possible, in a Creation to share with justice.
